College of Business

Every gift makes an impact on the University community.

Lewis' College of Business has obtained the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs accreditation, awarded to a business school for teaching excellence as it becomes a premiere program that continues to grow in promise and achievement. Lewis is also among a small percentage of institutions across the country that has been designated as a Center of Excellence in Information Systems by the Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency. Lewis is also home to the Lowell Stahl Center of Entrepreneurship and Real Estate.

Undergraduate and graduate programs have many successful alums who now hold leadership positions in major corporations like KPMG, Thomson Reuters, Fantastic Sam’s, Federal Express, and Merrill Lynch to name a few. Alumni like Phil Bomrad (Albireo Energy CEO), Michelle Mikka-Van Der Stuyf (President and CEO of BizStrat Technology), Paul Salmon (Eastern Regional Sales Director for Wheaton World Wide Moving | Bekins Van Lines), and Jay Savsani (Entrepreneur), are out bringing new ideas to the world.

The College of Business is a place of innovation. The College hosted the 2016 Business Professionals Regional Competition, and a Walgreens executive shared her insights on leadership in the workplace. In addition, Lewis students and faculty are changing the community with their ideas. The National Centers of Academic Excellence Tech Talk Featured Lewis Professor Dr. Safwan Omari, and student Laura Fox won the Elevator Pitch Competition with her idea for the Campus Closet.
