Chris White '75 and Chele Wasserman-White '77
Chele (Michelle) Wasserman-White sent us this romantic story of she and her husband. They met on campus in 1974 and have been together ever since.
"Chris and I met my first day of freshman year, 1974, when he was my freshman orientator - and a senior. We became friends quickly since my first assignment for the Sports Information Department was to write an article on the captain of the wrestling team who had been named an All America winner and who happened to be Chris. Not long afterward we started dating and on February 14, 1975 I looked out of the third floor window at the top of the Learning Resource Center where I worked onto a newly fallen snow. In a heart made of footprints as tall as a football field there were the initials C.W + C.W. for Chris White + Chele Wasserman. Thirty-nine years later - including thirty-six years of marriage and two children - we thank Lewis for many things, not least of all an environment that breeds love."
Thank you for sharing your story Chris and Chele! We wish you the best.
