Jake Wyss and Cara Terlep
So many responses have come in that we'll need to start showcasing more than one a day! Our third featured couple, Jake Wyss and Cara Terlep met in 2011. Jake shared their story with us:
"Our story started in the fall semester of 2011. We had seen each other around campus or through mutual friends at gatherings. We started to talk though after a semester of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday classes where our paths would cross.
I was a commuter and always parked in whatever available spot there was. More often than not, the only spots available were behind the Dorothy Day building, Coincidently, that was Cara's dorm. Our paths crossed every day Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We started off with simple greetings back and forth and as time went on and fall turned to winter, we would spend more time together. One night, both of us were at a music venue watching our mutual friends perform and I finally made a move to kiss Cara. As they say, after that the rest was history!
We just celebrated our year anniversary of dating in January. Cara is currently a junior in the nursing program at Lewis, and I graduated in May 2012 with a bachelors in Aviation Administration. I still visit at least once a week to have lunch at our spot in the Courtyard Cafe."
