Endowments
In addition to providing stability for the future, endowment gifts build needed scholarships and help Lewis attract and retain top faculty and students. Lewis University provides more than $41 million in financial aid and scholarships to its students each year, as 95% of Lewis undergraduate students receive financial assistance. Lewis also offers more than 150 named and private scholarships that support students.
Below are the three broad types of endowments individuals may establish:
- Endowed Scholarships: Gifts that fund endowed scholarships make it possible for Lewis to provide students with access to an excellent education.
- Faculty Endowments: Endowed chairs, professorships and fellowships are an effective way to support faculty, and help ensure that the University continues to recruit and retain leading teachers.
- Programmatic Endowments: Endowments that support programs and special initiatives at Lewis ensure the long-term viability of important cutting-edge instruction, research and public service activities.
