Recently, The Tau Kappa Epsilon Endowed Scholarship was established through the efforts and generosity of Frater Alec Gizzi and his wife (and TKE Little Sister) Karen Gizzi, along with the generous contributions of Frater Rich Salerno, Frater Rich Binder, and Frater John Vainisi. It ensures that the TKE name and ideals of service and charity will be forever honored and highlighted at our alma mater - Lewis University.
To date through generous gifts and pledges, The Tau Kappa Epsilon Endowed Scholarship is funded at $25,000! We are now reaching out to our entire TKE community to ask you to help us build this to $50,000. Many of us over the years have been generous and have made unspecified gifts to the general funds at Lewis. We now have the opportunity to direct any contribution to the support of this fund.
The Tau Kappa Epsilon Endowed Scholarship is to be awarded to well-qualified students “with a preference given to descendants of former TKE members” and to students who “demonstrate Tau Kappa Epsilon values of service and charity by their involvement on the Lewis University campus and/or involvement with community service”. We all remember the various service projects we TKE’s did while at Lewis and continue to do within our communities now. We believe this bond of serving together and giving back is why we are still together after 30 – 40 and for some almost 50 years later.
