Alumni Pride Drive For Student Support

Some gifts are still coming in, but 1,512 alumni answered the call to express their pride last fiscal year with a gift of any size.

Setting records is just what Flyers do. Consider just a few:

  • Lewis is celebrating seven consecutive years of record enrollment.
  • Lewis has been named a “Best Midwestern College” by The Princeton Review for a record six consecutive years.
  • Lewis has been ranked “Top Tier” by U.S. News & World Report for a record six consecutive years.
  • Lewis students, faculty and staff recently set a record of $12,020 raised for the Hope Children’s Hospital Family Assistance Fund program.
  • A record number of students were recently inducted into the international nursing honor society Sigma Theta Tau.

With just this small selection of Lewis records in mind, this afternoon I present the Top Five Reasons to Achieve a Record Year for Alumni Participation:

  5.   Flyers not only understand the meaning of the word "service," they live it.

  4.   The economy might not be strong, but Flyers are strong.

  3.   It boosts the esteem of your alma mater in the world's eyes, which increases the value of your degree in employers' eyes.

  2.   Setting records just feels good.

  1.   Setting this particular record will feel good because it will make a real difference for students like Elle, Toneika, Jacob, Lauren, Luigi, and 5,795 other hard-working scholars.
