Please join the Lewis University Board of Trustees for a celebration of the continuing transformation of Lewis University and recognition of Brother James Gaffney, FSC, as an Honorary Founder of Lewis University for his more than 27 years of leadership and service as President.


You’ll delight in this exceptional culinary experience and festive entertainment, complete with a raffle, live auction, dancing, and music by the Dan Hayes Orchestra. This important scholarship fundraiser in support of Lewis University’s most financially at-risk students is an opportunity to make a difference while enjoying a remarkable night out.

Honoring Brother James Gaffney

Brother James Gaffney, FSC will be recognized as an Honorary Founder of the University for his more than 27 years of dedicated service as President and for his essential role in the development of Lewis University as exemplified by: a renewed and revitalized institutional commitment to Mission; growth and quality of academic programs; the advancement of student success initiatives; significant growth in enrollment; the physical transformation of the campus and the development of regional sites; and leadership in the surrounding community.

Mission Fund

All proceeds from the Red Tie Ball will be directed to the Lewis University Mission Fund, which provides additional support to the University’s most financially at-risk students. Since its inception in 2009, more than 275 students who were facing potential withdrawal from the University due to severe financial hardship have been able to continue their pursuit of a degree through support from the Mission Fund. Learn more about the Mission Fund and see the students who have received support through this fund.


This year, complimentary deluxe motorcoach transportation to and from the event will again be provided by Free Enterprise System.
