2025 Black August Prison Education Student Roundtable
Reimagining Justice from the Inside Out: The Law, Abolition, and Lived Struggle

Join us for the Second Annual Black August Prison Education Program Student Roundtable, a powerful dialogue between Lewis University's Prison Education Program students, public defenders, and abolitionist practitioners. Together, we'll explore the lived realities of systems-impacted individuals and the transformative potential of Black liberation struggles. Through the lenses of African American and Abolitionist Studies, this conversation will center voices from within carceral spaces to envision a world beyond violence, rooted in justice, resistance, and radical hope. All are welcome.

Wednesday, August 27
12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
