2025 Orange Shirt Day Fundraiser & Film Screening of "Sugarcane"
In observation of Orange Shirt Day, the Office of Diversity invites you to observe Orange Shirt Day, a day to remember and reckon with the forced assimilation of Indigenous children that the residential school system enforced. Participate in the De La Salle Blackfeet School (DLSBS) fundraiser by purchasing and wearing an Orange Shirt Day T-Shirt ($30) designed by DLSBS students to raise awareness and support the school’s mission. Proceeds directly benefit educational programs at DLSBS, supporting Native students on their academic journeys. Wear your Orange Shirt Day T-Shirt to the Lewis University screening and post-film discussion of the Oscar-nominated documentary, "Sugarcane," an investigation into abuse of missing children at an Indian residential school that ignites a reckoning on the nearby Sugarcane reserve.
All are welcome.
